I am a stay at home mum, who is passionate about eating healthy.
I have a wonderfully supportive husband, and three beautiful children.
When I was in my early twenties, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. It played havoc with my weight and caused fertility issues.
In an attempt to lose weight I tried several diets and went through a rigorous exercise regimen, only to lose a few pounds. It was discouraging!
I did give birth to our beautiful daughter. However, my Polycystic ovarian syndrome became so severe that I had to undergo Ovarian drilling to trigger ovulation.
I did suffer 2 miscarriages, and a stillbirth. I became pregnant with Quads, but that was short-lived. At 11 weeks one of the embryos hadn’t survived. It was then classified as a Triplet pregnancy. I was monitored closely and on bed rest. I went into early labor at 31 weeks gestation. Sadly one of our precious sons, Shawn, was stillborn. A bittersweet journey for our family. Our other two sons were born just under 3lbs and spent nearly two months in NICU. They are now teenagers and doing well.
I began to research food and discovered how it affected my body. I soon learned to replace the word “diet” with the word “lifestyle” and it has changed my whole outlook on health and fitness.
I’m on a journey to reshape my body and to keep feeding it healthy living foods. Foods that are alive with nutrients, to nourish my body, rather than foods that are dead, and devoid of nutrition.
I started this blog to share my experiences as I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle and to share information that may be beneficial for others. I think this is a great avenue to meet like-minded people who have similar interests and challenges. This blog keeps me focused and accountable. It also allows me to get support and give support to others who are striving to live a healthy life.
Day by day I’m eating my “weigh” to vibrant health and living.
